Remember, we only have this to prevent people from complaining about others' characters, alright? Anyway, here it goes. This applies to both styles of role play.
1. Don't make them all-mighty and all-powerful. This takes the fun out of a role play, and is highly frowned upon in role play society. Sure, it's okay to make them powerful, but not God-like powerful.
2. Keep them as realistic as you can. Yes, even pokemon can be realistic. This means realistic movesets, abilities, and genders (Pokemon-Wise), and realistic hair-colors, eye colors, et cetera (Human-Wise). (Humans must not have beyond normal hair-colors (et cetera) without good reason. Pokemon can look differently, but don't make it over the top, such as a winged umbreon, a charizard with large horns protruding from the top of its head, et cetera.)
3. Your characters may own (or be) one of the made-up pokemon on this site.
4. Your character cannot be on the same team as a legendary or own a legendary. Though you can temporarily role play as a legendary pokemon, you cannot make that legendary pokemon a part of your team, as said before. This rule is only here to make sure that god-moding is kept down. (This means you cannot own or be on the same team as Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, Mew, Suicune, Raikou, Entei, Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi, Regice, Regirock, Registeel, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Latias, Latios, Jirachi, Deoxys, Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Palkia, Dialga, Giratina, Cresselia, Regigigas, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, and Arceus.)
5. Keep characters' gender ratios even. We don't want too many females over very few males, and vice versa.
That's all the rules I can think of for now. If you'd like to challenge any of these rules or perhaps remove one of them, ask me first. If you'd like to add on, ask an administrator.
